Christie earned a masters degree in digital media at ACU. She also has a BS in print journalism from Harding University. Tony holds a BS in computer science from the University of Memphis. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran. Maggie, Christie's two-year-old maltese/poodle mix, thinks that shadows are real, and chases them everywhere. While in college, Tony worked as a cave guide at Cumberland Caverns in McMinnville, Tennessee. Christie & Tony will take their vows nearly 100 years after the first wedding ceremony in the Chapel on the Bosque, which was performed on April 4, 1900. The honeymoon will be Tony's first vacation in five years. It is not expected that he will wait that long before the next one. Christie and Tony first met at the Antioch Church of Christ, during Christie's first week in Nashville. After a long conversation, he asked if she was hungry, and offered to buy her dinner. She picked Red Lobster. Sunflowers are Christie's favorite flowers. Tony's favorite food is "...and cheese." Contrary to his long-standing plan, Tony will not be wearing a kilt for the wedding ceremony. Christie & Tony's favorite board game is Scrabble. Each of them owns several of the games. Tony is an amateur astronomer, an active member of the Barnard-Seyfert Astronomical Society. Christie & Tony celebrated their engagement at Six Flags Over Texas by falling 173 feet, arm in arm, clipped to the end of a steel cable on the SkyCoaster. In addition to being an accomplished writer, Christie is also an award-winning photojournalist. Tony can recite the value of pi (π) to over 100 decimal places, but he does not remember his office phone number. Christie is the most wonderful girl in the world.
